I didn't see anyone setting fires at the North precinct. That picture is a picture of protesters trying to put a fire out at a beauty shop. Some asshole lit it, most people tried to stop it

Incidentally, that's the exact moment I saw the first CS canisters--as people were trying to quell the flames, WELL after the police had driven us away from the precinct. I was at/near the police line the whole time and would definitely have noticed if they'd used it previously

Before all this, I truly did not know how shamelessly the cops lie If I'd seen this then, I'd have thought: this account must be twisting facts. The police couldn't just make up when they used tear gas, could they?! Of course they can. They do it with black murders all the time
