Harris does something very interesting where he cites facts to back up his assertion that racism is real, then uses opinions to explain how maybe it's not that bad So the facts-to-opinion ratio is pretty good, it's just that the facts are all on the side he's trying to debunk

Straight copaganda: "[if you don't understand the pressure police are in, how can you judge them?! How can you possibly know how hard it is?!]" I know murder is wrong, how about that "Most cops don't get the training they need" Yeah, we know

Twenty minutes ago Harris told us not to get super mad at him and to ignore any emotions we might feel, but that that cops are more violent towards white people than black people, statistically. He said he'd back that up with facts later This is how these fuckers operate.

The listener assumes there will be proof and incorporates it into their minds as fact In another twenty minutes Harris will probably back it up with facts, at which point the average listener will have stopped listening because this is two fucking hours long

But even if the listener persists, by the time "proof" arrives they've already accepted the statement on faith. So whatever garbage evidence he offers will play into their worldview and be way more compelling than if he'd said it initially Jordan Peterson is the master of this

Harris is now saying that even videos of justified murder by cop look horrific. It will always happen, and it will always make us angry, and we need to be more rational about this y'all, just be rational ok??

He is now suggesting that Chauvin accidentally killed Floyd out of negligence and I am actually done, I feel sick, everybody go outside or pet a dog or something.
