Historical figures can be complicated and that's part of the reason I think statues celebrating specific, esp 'mixed' 'great men' are a terrible idea.

I'm just not as anti-statue as most people are in this particular moment. No tears, but not really cheers either There's a deeper issue the left needs to explore at some point: most humans have done bad shit at some point in some area of their lives. Can anyone be admired?
