I take your point but: 1. Huge difference between burning down a building and throwing a large firework at a person, even if that person is a cop. Just, different conversation

Granted. Provocation serves its own purpose in the larger ecosystem, though. In a week, nobody will care that a kid threw a firecracker; if a cop overreacts, they will.
An opinion I have that seems to apply is that more and less radical actors have a more symbiotic existence than either side would be comfortable admitting.
