A New York Times decision to publish an article implies that the newspaper considers the ideas therein serious. No one should take those ideas seriously in an intellectual sense. Tom Cotton's rights are not violated if the New York Times tells him to get fucked

It's shocking to me that after three fucking years the Times still doesn't get that we now have government officials whose ideas are so toxic that they have no place in a respectable paper
