2) Amom named me after a soap opera character. My middle name was for a dead woman in my Afather's family. Both stupid choices.
3) Legally changed my name to my nickname.
Still get people asking "what's you rEaL name?"
To which I say,

Literally never understood that line of thinking: which is more "real," a name someone you didn't even know at the time gave you before you were even a person, or a name you chose for yourself?
