Ok someone I worked with who was a libertarian leaning objectivist 5 years ago, is now a @BernieSanders bro. @arbissell was the transformation gradual or more abrupt? What were the main factors?

For me, it took years. Probably started in 2012 and very gradually led me to become the Bernie Bro I am today Theory: Objectivists oppose the status quo and want radical change. It's easier for an Oist to adopt an ideology of radical change than to become a status quo liberal

I'm not sure I would go quite so far as to say it's easier to become a radical than remain a liberal (which most Oists are, by our understanding of the term). It's probably in many ways easier for Oists than the general population though.

Was thinking about this again today and something else occurred to me. The original title for "Atlas Shrugged" was "The Strike," and the book is chock full of elites who prey upon the common people in all sorts of ways.
