So right wing spin is indirectly responsible for Democrats openly embracing Marxist ideas in a similar way to left wing spin masking proto-fascism in the Republican Party. It’s an interesting hypothesis that I’ll entertain.

I'd say the status quo, and two political parties desperate to hang onto it, are more responsible than anything The status is not quo, man, it's not working. Two alternatives have emerged as viable: proto-fascism and socialism. I'm partial to the second thing
