We can go back and forth about the origin of gender roles, which is not well-documented. What should not be under dispute is the last 100-200 years, in which women fought like bastards to be able to do those "dirty jobs" and were told "no" repeatedly and loudly

I'd like some sources on that. I enlisted in the Army and was told constantly, the entire time, that women shouldn't be serving. I have friends that tried to join trade unions and were harassed by men who resented their presence
