Dear parents of children that struggle(d) to learn to read,
@TheEconomist reaffirms we were NEVER crazy.
Our children are victims of an unjust System—politicians/teachers unions/curriculum writers/corporations/et al—WILLFULLY teach reading “wrong” in “compromise.”

Other methods work for very few kids. I love Reading Mastery by SRA, a direct instruction program that resulted in all save our two non-verbal children being able to read during the 8 years teaching intervention reading. We need full adoption of only reading programs that work.

Covid school shutdowns opened my eyes to how terrible a job my kids' very good public school was doing. The teachers work hard but the methods are garbage! Leaps and bounds were made with the kids home with me.
COVID unmasked so much for so many about how broken public education is. Poor quality curriculum and instruction has been a rabid cancer for decades. I pray parents and concerned citizens will not allow a return to days prior.
