Last June, #SCOTUS ruled that the Civil Rights Act, which prohibits sex discrimination, covers sexual orientation and gender identity in the workplace.
Courts have since interpreted that ruling to mean that sex discrimination protects LGBTQ+ people in many areas of life.

HUD now will be taking up complaints that were previously not investigated, the agency said, including incidents dating back to January 20 when Biden issued his executive order. Officials said those who have filed complaints in the past can also update those grievances.

I feel angry that this was an issue to begin with. “No, you can’t rent this apartment, you’re too gay” that’s so damn stupid. Shelter is one of the basic human rights people should have... so glad this won’t be an issue for long
