Because they value profits over people. Their staff and residents.
That’s a no-brainer there...no1 was ready or knew what to do.
So they basically said fuck the old they dying soon, so give the services and mask to the hospital

Some still say that: that they should be isolated (forever?) and no restrictions on the rest of society; also complaints when scarce vaccines are given to people who can be isolated or maybe won't live another year anyhow. The old are worthless to some people, sadly.
