But it wasn’t because they were denied the vote they just chose not to vote. Duh! 
Women officially won the right to vote just a few months before the 1920 presidential election. But it wasn’t until 1980 that equal shares of men and women cast a ballot.

This is so misleading. Both of my grandmothers voted in the 50s, 60s, 70s, my mother voted in the 60s and 70s. They were not denied the right to vote.
