Is it plausible (I'm sure it is) that any existing marriages would be nullified in pretty short order? I hate that it could come to that but I don't see that it wouldn't.

That truly worries me too. I could not get married until I was 57, a Civil Union until I was 49. We had a “jump the broom” type commitment when I was 45. As a teenager I was repressed and suicidal. To see all this progress go backwards makes me fear for young LGBTQ people.
