Thanks for your candor. Do you see that happening here in the past year though? Without sounding caustically cynical, not charging/reducing charges/reflexive decarceration seems to have unintended negative consequences, pandemic or not.

I'm definitely keeping up on this debate, and having given a promising public defender a chance, I will judge him next time as the incumbent DA, with a full record to speak for.

Nah, I liked his campaign statements. I like his message about holding police accountable, and bringing a new approach to the DA's office. Given the options I read, I picked Chesa "for Change"
