It also doesn't matter if it was written before telecommunication was a thing, it's a national law it has to be followed to the letter regardless, you can't just take freedom of speech away from people.

but the government isnt taking away free speech...it's private enterprises that are; and unless they are state owned there's nothing that the constituency can do to force them.
