I don't think they've ever made that explicit, but maybe? Certainly feels like same universe conceptually/spiritually/thematically, but the way the future of humanity plays out in RbW is pretty different from Alien/Prometheus universe

Really sad about them cutting it from 10 to 8 episodes this season. Like season 1 wasn't wtf enough to end on...

Haha I didn't notice the episode decrease. TBH I'm surprised it even got a season 2. It's not a bad show but I'd much rather have seen like, the expanse keep going instead

I'm still holding out a little hope the Expanse will be un-canceled again; there are several more books to draw from! And hard sci-fi is just cooler than interplanetary space-magic.
Yeah on the one hand, i think it's cool to have weirder and less well known shows like RbW NOT get cancelled, so it isnt like it has to be one or the other, but it seems like expanse also has always had a way bigger and more devoted fan base???
