I don’t buy the argument that If someone dies from a drug overdose, the person who gave or shared the drugs is a murderer. I also don’t buy the idea that if the person who shared the drugs was a gay man over 30 that older gay men are predators.

Kind of depends on the nature of the overdose. The way I see it, putting fentanyl in cocaine, or even passing it off an a milder opiate, and having someone OD immediately, is poisoning.
This is why decriminalization, safe injection sites and ultimately legalization are key. QC

I'm not playing to any one room. I stand by why I say, and from the situation you're describing, it probably wasn't intentional. So we can make that distinction and it strengthens what you say.
More important to go after who supplied them both with something that wasn't what was advertised.
