BIG BIZ in No.10! Execs from BT, BAE, Rolls-Royce, Prudential, Santander, Tesco, Timpson, ITV, GSK will attend & reps from CBI, IOD, EEF, Chambers & FSB. Half all jobs in UK are from small biz. Where are entrepreneurial start ups represented? No.10 just doesn't get it!

-
No. Number 10 certainly does get it! The FSB is The Federation of Small Businesses and represents the micro businesses and start-ups, so it is good that the government is including them as they have for some time now.
-
Yes, There is a certain type of business which joins the FSB and the people who run these organizations tend to be bureaucratic types, not entrepreneurs themselves. She needs entrepreneurs in the room. People with vision, creativity and flair. Sadly lacking!!
-
I agree completely. She needs to consult entrepreneurs and small business professionals in the room before postulating about how great UK is for businesses. People employing 5-10 people who struggle under the weight of red tape might have valid opinions too. Less self praise too!
-
I am annoyed that our Prime Minister is so divorced from reality and professes to be leading “The Party of Business” when in truth the Tories don’t give a Tinker’s Cuss about small and medium businesses who collectively pay more tax and employ more people than any other sector.
-
The problem is so few people in the political world have been involved in business, and especially small businesses and start ups. They are by nature bureaucratic not entrepreneurial. You'd expect this of Labour, but its so disheartening when it's the Tories. Thatcher come back!
-
Agreed. Thatcher may not have been everyone’s hero, but she did understand how small business operated. I ran a family business from 1972 to 2002. The Thatcher years were by far the best for us. U.K. is like a rudderless ship these days.
#Brexit performance is very embarrassing. -
I am a big fan of Brexit I am a not a big fan of the TOTALLY incompetent way the Government has handled it. But I am eternally optimistic.

The UK "WAS" one of the best places in the world to do business, it's looking less and less attractive every day as can be seen by the foreign investment figures.... if only we had a government who gave a damn :/
-
Only China beat us on FDI according to the last figures I saw.

Isn't this a bit late, dear? Perhaps we could have engaged with business - say - prior to triggering Article 50?
