Fwiw, I am not a fan of the paper; it does not generalize the concepts as much as "fixes bugs that were features, not bugs" in the original definition.

It has occurred to me that every transition from state to state inside a computer must be a linear transformation, and must be representable as linear algebra. It seem this might have security implications somehow.
