⏲️ As of today, we have about eighteen years to go until the Y2038 problem occurs. But the Y2038 problem will be giving us headaches long, long before 2038 arrives. I'd like to tell you a story about this.

If we can't be happy with the things we have now, what makes us think we'll be happy with what we're working hard to achieve? Remember to be grateful for what you have now. 😊

Remember that your kindness has a trickle down effect ✨ When I was in bootcamp, the kindness that complete strangers showed me changed my life. Now, I try to go out of my way to help boost others up and I don’t know that I would have done this if the example had not been set.

It’s said all of life can be found in a single blade of grass, which sounds romantic. It’s also true that life is found in a business meeting, a traffic jam, an afternoon with your spouse. The point is life is happening here and now. This is it. Breathe. What’s it like to be you?

People going to , don't get discouraged when you meet others who've far more knowledge than you, are at far better companies/positions. Feeling like you don't belong or won't be able to make it is a real thing. Just go with an open mind, a beginner's mind, & learn.

    10. These is just the tip of the iceberg. So don't forget that some of the best resources for interviews are these whitepapers from companies that are actually doing this stuff.

    9. For example, When you're asked a question like "How would you design a secure password management system" - you can use information from all of the above links because you'll talk about Host security where the system runs, Network security for the system, Crypto, etc.

    7. Want to learn how to protect passwords end-to-end ? Owasp has a handy guide, but also checkout real world examples. Like what concerns had when they were designing stuff - There's a whitepaper on that link that goes into more details.

    6. Want to learn cryptography and understand what issues might there be when you're storing encrypted information in a database. Well - here's a blog post from AWS KMS that talks about some of those

    5. These are my absolute min. set of recommended books for interviews. Apart from these, whitepapers, blogs and documentation pushed out by companies are amazing resources to understand concepts that you want to understand. I'll give some examples

    4. It helps you answer a very common interview question - "When I enter www[.]google[.]com on the browser. What happens ?" People go in very different directions based on their experience with this question, and the type of job, and this book will certainly help.

    3. "Bulletproof TLS/SSL" by . One of the best books, specially the first part where it explains the protocol, the crypto behind it, the implicit trusts in CAs that we've put, Various exploited TLS issues, etc.

    2. "The Tangled Web" by . It's a little dated, but still extremely relevant. It clearly articulates how the web evolved, what were the security design principles, and the mistakes we've made along the way.

    1. "Security Engineering" book by Ross Anderson - . You can find second edition fully online for free. One of the best books to get that "security mindset" that goes beyond just network/web penetration testing that most people think about.

As there doesn't seem to be many resources targeted towards interviews, I'll share some of mine that have helped me in my interviews. These have mostly been for Product/AppSec/Cloud security - A thread
