I don’t buy the line that nation building is difficult; I think we’re just doing it wrong. Build an SEZ, so something that moderately improves conditions, and the rest of the country will adopt those policies. When you’re neighbors are getting rich, you copy them.

This is actually the problem - if you want to do nation building you are inherently changing a culture. You can’t have it in the back of your mind so that all ways of being in the world are equal and then go about trying to reform one.
