We’re the first intelligent industrial civilisation on the cusp of AGI in our visible universe because we cannot exist in a cosmos where we were second or third because such positions wouldn’t exist. AGI makes Fermi paradox more extreme. We got a massive responsibility

had thought about - assumption of visible effects on a galaxy inhabited by an AGI - significant, if not entire, Dyson swarm encapsulation of constituent stars for example. Time distance limiting here but I think is at least true of Virgo Supercluster @ 110m light years across

Ah you’re right I’m talking about two different things at the same time. I think you’re correct about galactic isolation protecting us from extra-galactic AGIs. I jumped gun to whether or not those AGIs might exist
