You're missing the point here with your question... In nature thousands of animals get killed by other animals as well. The question is whether the circumstances of which we breed those animals in is ethical

I voted unethical but that’s only really because of how we do it at the moment. You are right though - if we can offer those animals a better life than they would have otherwise had in nature before their inevitable death anyway, then that is ethical. We fail this low bar though
Yeah I voted ethical purely because killing animals for food is normal in nature. But if I keep the breeding in mind, I would have voted unethical as well
