Chinese New Year is the largest human migration on the planet, for many Chinese it is the *only* time they see not only their extended family but their children and spouses. You see your kid *once* a year while you pour concrete, wait tables the rest of the year. We canceled it.

130 million people read The NY Times monthly. And those people talk to others. Just imagine how many deaths NYT are directly responsible for during a global pandemic due to constantly bad takes that directly contradicted the advice of doctors in places that have beaten this.
