"SOMEBODY IS WRONG ON THE INTERNET" culture was bad enough before it added the "... AND I AM UNSAFE AS A CONSEQUENCE" corollary to its core belief system.

Speaking as somebody who has actually had the cops called on his house over a petty dispute on the internet, this stuff is irrational on its face and we need to stop indulging it.
