1/ Got a bet going with a few friends from back in March - the election is contested/disputed and compounded by outside interference just to stir the pot. Vast swathes of the country live in different realities as to who won and won’t accept the other taking office.

3/ importantly the military cannot hand over the reigns to either party as it is their non-partisan rule that keep everything together at the federal level failure to intervene as the country tears itself apart is seen as failure to fulfill their oath to the constitution

4/ of course, some recent online alphabet-letter political cults have primed themselves for this and will see a vast conspiracy regardless. There will be insurrection While America is brought to its knees, China takes a 100 year chance and retakes Taiwan
