Is Linux really more secure than Windows or is it more a matter of security by obscurity due to the difference in install base?

Windows is generally as secure as a wet paper bag with the amount of bloat it has, you can't create a minimal and hardened configuration to the scale and ease possible with Linux. Also, most exploits tend to target windows users, bc they're usually dumb
