The issue is that political diversity etc is actually functional. You need an ecosystem of competing orders or you get homogenization into something very mortal.
Global superstate is a great dream, but it doesn't solve the key civilizational problems, and creates some new ones.

There's no organizational form that will set aside human nature. Empires tend to be especially corrupt and inefficient, and worse the larger they are.
