    Ah, is this a good place to mention that one of the big reasons i left was because they wouldn't pay the contract terms they negotiated; and have argued that they don't have to pay if the hold out long enough? It seems like a good place.

    Small business can be rough, I don’t like having to worry about being able to feed my family.

    Well, an (un?)expected thing happened. The Sub SoW for a new client (fully executed) was yanked (“cancelled”), and IOA is refusing to pay us for hours worked last year, while gaslighting in email that our invoices are approved. They offered to pay us 8 hrs in lieu of 22 billed.

    Don’t conflate business with friendship. I’ve attended Freakshow every I made it to, and straight up thought we were homies. Pretty disappointed tbh

    I called the CEO, who we know informally from their Vegas events every year (I also have a few dear friends working there) and she played “dumb”. Had nothing to say about any of it. To say I am disappointed in her and what I thought they were as a company is an understatement.

    I've been thinking back about things I've learned on my journey into infosec, and I want to start sharing some tricks that helped me tremendously so those new to the field can learn. One-liner to find packages that run as their owner: find / -perm -u=s -type f 2>/dev/null

    Linux command-line to find all packages that run as the owner, not the user who started it. Helps locate privilege escalation pathways.
