It is for a hypothetical sage king. Not for the individual. Whatever the actual lifestyle, successful promiscuity is a signal of superior sexual value. Status with a big S. Monogamy has to give rewards which override that.

I know a Muslim guy who is pretty beta. His wife treats him like shit, yells at him, calls him every hour and quizzes him on his every move. But she'll never divorce or cuck him because there's an entire social edifice of relatives, imams and taboos that protects him from this.

Good thread and agreed. Most men deep down don't even need that much sex to be satisfied with themselves. They mostly chase the validation of women more than the act. Why most begin to find it boring/tedious once it becomes easy/mechanical.
