  1. @jorallan excellent port page
  2. Why can't Apple allow wifi and 3G to be switched from the app page of the iPhone? I know, lets bury features that improve battery life......
  3. Spent the weekend writing a new speccy game. Loved combing the code slashing t-states here, there and everywhere. Such selfish satisfaction!
  4. Spent three days juggling estimated gate delays, measured timings and schematics, to get them to add up. I don't know if I've fudged it!
  5. Meet going well. Lots of hardware and demos. Winstons spectranet being demoed at the moment. Sinclair Ethernet... Yay!
  6. On my way to the CSS/WOS Sinclair meet-up in Oxford. It's good to talk.
  7. The ULA schematics are done, plus example pages of book released http://bit.ly/SblUV .
  8. ULA quater four annotated and discovered a number of bugs! I pretty much know how it all works now. Just the data latches in Q3 to uncover.
  9. Got the second quarter of the ULA drawn up as logic gates. Annoyingly I can't explain what is going on until I document quarter 4.
  10. Approx 960 transistors and 720 resistors and about 100 hours later, I'm halfway through the phase 1 schematic of the ULA. Labourious!
  11. Finished annotating one quarter of the ULA. Started redrawing this as logic gates for a change of scene. First out, a D-type flip-flop.
  12. Excited that a NTSC ULA has turned up. Will hopefully confirm some timing assumptions. Need to run P.K.'s fusetest....
  13. Pieced together a whole new ULA type today from an undocumented photo and snippets of info... Looks like an early 5000 CML
  14. Not going to get much book done today. Having a day off, going out in the sunshine.
  15. One thing is apparent. There are a lot of detailed illustrations in this book... I'm up to 18 in Ferranti chapter
  16. I'm currently finishing off the diagrams for the Ferranti section, and doing a complete write up of the 6000 series ULA.
  17. Completing the Ferranti section of the "The Sinclair ZX Spectrum ULA"
