  2. So have staked out my three seats, extra pillows, etc. Awaiting 2nd takeoff. Is this all punishment for not seeing fam on T-giving?
  3. Oh, and I got to see huge group from back of plane, a gang of Europeans all duded up in cowboy hats and Wranglers. Hee.

  7. After three hours in the lounge, boarded flight to Geneva. Yeah! Tons of empty seats--who needs an upgrade?
  8. Apparently only reprobates fly internationally on T-giving. In int'l terminal, passed 2 men doing shady phone deals, and no one else.

  10. Day started so well, with shot of 150 proof rum, alleged Granadan cold cure, at 10am.
  11. Delightful! Just got a copy of The Upper East Side Cookbook in the mail. In new ed, Parsley Cresswell goes to jail! http://bit.ly/4BJxIR
  12. RT @FakeAPStylebook: It's got nothing to do with grammar or usage, but flossing every day is still a good idea.
  13. Just subscribed to John Thorne's "Simple Cooking." Don't know why it took me so long.
  14. Now reading recipes in Momofuku cookbook more closely. I take back all glib statements about how I'd never bother to cook from this book.
  15. RT @bkwrksevents: Love Bookshop Santa Cruz's Going Rogue promotion: http://bit.ly/8ptuWk // Hot nuts, Sarah! Hilarious.
  16. Lucha libre! Azul dominated Santo, and the English-speaking meathead La Migra, who wore hot pants with 'Border Patrol' written on the butt.
  17. @sayra72 really? i feel like i saw someone who looked like this on times square last week. lots of shiny. but no parrot.
  18. I think I'll write about Provence too! I hear it's lovely! http://comics.com/get_fuzzy...
  19. Wow--_two_ dinners out at other people's houses this week! Astounding! Normally, I get dinner invites, oh, 2x/yr. I am so grateful.
  20. Speaking of stollen, that's the thing I made into biscotti, after my tinkering failed. Pretty genius, if I do say so.
