  1. @Logicologist But the variables are things we can measure, not like variables with economy & society.
  2. @Logicologist I believe you're oversimplifying the first two.
  3. Why do we have Wifi on airplanes and rovers landing on Mars, but are unable to accurately forecast weather 24 hours in advance?
  4. Thinking about 2009: Hawaii, Toronto, a Half Marathon, Engaged and Married, New House, 2 New Dogs, and @tournology. Not bad, eh?
  5. Barclay's Premier League is on @hulu?? Awesome! http://www.hulu.com/barclays-premier-league
  6. Well done, @amazonmp3! Let me re-download some purchased music after my @palm pre crash.
  7. @rhyolight Quick, write a twitter text-to-speech app.
  8. @tobie Asked @diegoperini a similar question yesterday about refactoring, his use case was an 88K node page (obv. not a traditional size)
  9. @tobie @diegoperini Please repeat conversation from yesterday about 88K node pages. :P
  10. Ah, Closure uses the JSDoc convention @license or @preserve http://bit.ly/3UNSlI
  11. Seeing 88% of YUI Compressor file size from Closure Compiler. That's pretty dang good!
  12. Wouldn't mind if Closure respected the /*! for keeping licensing comments, like YUI Compressor.
  13. Trying out the Google Closure Compiler.
  14. @diegoperini @jdalton We need to form the Bearded JavaScripters Guild.
  15. The great thing about our job is that there's always new stuff to learn. Anyone who thinks it's a burden is in the wrong field.
  16. Hey @sprint, the "new" @palm pre you gave me has a broken button. Starting to wonder if you re-gift straight from other broken trade-ins.
  17. @Nosredna Yeah, same here. I don't mind learning new tricks, but there is a point where it's just refaptoring. http://bit.ly/bK2Se
  18. @diegoperini Ah, that's great then! But 88K nodes is a VERY small % of sites. Google Maps has 683 nodes, yahoo.com 845.
  19. After 2.5 hours in the @sprint store, finally got a new(-ish) @palm pre. Very (!!) annoying, especially when they promised a 30m wait.
  20. @diegoperini Do you have a use case for iterating over all those nodes? You'll see a lot bigger perf issues than JS loops on that page.
