  1. Slowly on my way to bed. night, tweets!
  2. The yarn I just plied is soooooo pretty. I divided the roving to come up in orderly color sections - a little blending, very soft.
  3. okay - plying momma is gonna ply. be back after. :)
  4. @jen_hintz this is true! I'll highlight it in my first book as a "super secret" technique. *chortle*
  5. @spazzyyarn Happy biiiirthday!
  6. @AnnieKints yes indeed! He's a character. :D
  7. @jen_hintz I have to show you the navajo plying screw up I did that ended up looking really cool :D
  8. Jack Hanna on Dave Letterman! Time for the cute animals!
  9. Trying to get the gumption to go back and ply those thin-ass singles. [usually I make fat-ass yarn]
  10. @jen_hintz that could work! I think it took me... 2 or 3 tries to get it down pretty well. The practice yarns were fun, anyway!
  11. @jen_hintz oh yeah! I thought it looked like my taste :D [all the bliiiiiing]
  12. @Impstar Damn right. ;)
  13. @jen_hintz did you use a batt? [it looked like a batt] Sometimes I fluff 'em up even more.
  14. @Impstar hey, it can be both! In my head, you are officially buff.
  15. @jen_hintz oooh, yeah. There's a really light hand needed to keep the core from overtwisting. It's... weird.
  16. @Impstar I have stupidly long legs, too - that could explain the difference. Or maybe you're just buff. :D
  17. @Impstar It could be how the wheel's action is, or the height of the treadles in relation to your feet/knees. Or something like that?
  18. @Impstar what kind of wheel do you have?
  19. @Impstar my calves are really developed, because I used to walk 4-6 miles a day. Thighs... not so much. *wibble wibble* :D
  20. @magickalrealism heel*toe*heel*toe
