  1. Leaving the 25th to establish sites for HR&E to view the practice of education worldwide, I've bought every walking shoe I can find.
  2. Great weekend in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Snow Saturday evening made me feel like I was living in a Christmas card-- a real one, not virtual.
  3. Three cheers for Mr. Mountaineer, Michael Squires. A senior SPA major, he's a great representative for WVU and a favorite of HR&E!
  4. Thanksgiving in a castle? Over break I'll be in schools in France, Spain, and Italy to establish student study sites- HR&E is going global.
  5. HR&E's Visiting Committee spent the last two days with us. Dynamic and supportive, they do more than just visit--they offer solutions. WOW!
  6. Check out the plywood decor on four. Lounge construction has finally begun. Now if we can just get food service in Allen Hall . . .
  7. Today's White Coat Ceremony showcased an impressive group of students. Congratulations, future audiologists. Welcome to graduate study.
  8. HR&E faculty are brainstorming a new route for teacher prep with exciting world-wide possibilities for learning our craft. Stay tuned.
  9. What was that white stuff coming down yesterday? Snow? No way, it's too soon for winter so let's pretend it was just fat raindrops.
  10. Hey Super Student, have you picked up a Dean's List T-Shirt? If not, come by the office and get one. With your grades, you've earned it.
  11. From my office window on the eighth floor I can only see the tops of the trees. Today their tips look like they were dipped in paint. Neat.
  12. Student Advisory Board meeting is tonight in Allen, 802B. They do advise and I do listen. A a great group, together we get things done.
  13. Former Governor Bob Wise shared education concerns with policy makers on campus last night urging them to work together to impact change.
  14. Friday's Office for Diversity and Global Initiatives opening was fantastic. Great things happening in HR&E-here and soon to be worldwide.
  15. Watching the Mountaineers on Public TV is exciting but not as much fun as being in the stadium--just cooler and easier to see the plays.
  16. Can it already be the second week of classes? The Welcome Back picnic Sunday was perfect-sunny skies, yummy food, great music and friends.
  17. Wait until you hear the Pass/Fail Band at today's College picnic. They give music and fun new meaning. Join us in Krepps Park at 4:00 p.m.
  18. For the first time ever I decoded the Cryptoquip in the Sunday paper. The CIA will probably be knocking on my door and want to hire me.
  19. Krepps Park is the place. Hot dogs, baked beans, cole slaw, chips . . . hmmm . . . I need a snack. College picnic is Sunday at 4:00 p.m.
  20. Three cheers for hot dogs, College picnic is Sunday at 4:00 p.m. Don't miss it, the Pass Fail Band is performing and they are a hoot!
