  1. Got to do the health check again tomorrow morning and not allowed to eat for 12 hours beforehand. Only 2 hours in and already starving.
  2. @kimiecat James Bond is so bad, it's hilarious. Especially the one with Pussy Galore.
  3. @kimiecat Yeah, I didn't have a big problem with the movies. More about Tolkien's story and the attitude to women. Of its time I guess.
  4. @ebonifiyah (Trying to think of a way to say "will you marry me" in 10 syllables in Japanese) 俺の味噌汁を作ってくれ is too long. (Funny one eh?)
  5. @ebonifiyah 俺と結婚してくれ?
  6. @Cpaskell By the way, hello! How are you?
  7. @Cpaskell You too?!
  8. @glen_malley @goebicyu @shinpuren More like "No honey, just Mom". What about Dad?
  9. @goebicyu @shinpuren @glen_malley 親孝行は大事。 I guess they won't be here for long. Honeymoon afterwards?
  10. Oh dear. I walked home along a canal once and was mugged RT @VictoriaCoren Please help find John Regan. http://tinyurl.com/yjepgpo please RT
  11. @shinpuren You just got married, right? What happened to your wife?!
  12. @kimiecat Btw don't get me started on a similar discussion with Lord of the Rings. Tolkien had some real problems with female relationships.
  13. @kimiecat A lot of the female characters in those books are pretty snotty. Or at least aloof.
  14. @glen_malley Maybe put it to one side for a while. How much left?
  15. @glen_malley Frankenstein is probably one of my favourite books of all time.
  16. @glen_malley I went through a phase of reading a lot of classics with older language. Really appealing.
  17. @kimiecat They're basically soap operas in fantasy land. Ridiculously easy reading where you end up caring quite a lot about the characters.
  18. @glen_malley How many pages?
  19. @glen_malley Just took a look. Certainly appears pretty dense. I once tried Lord Dunsany but didn't get far.
  20. @glen_malley What is it?
