  1. Getting ready for back-to-back #birding- Klamath Falls, OR Christmas Bird Count Saturday + a ranch count Sunday. Beats Xmas shopping!
  2. @mooncrazy Glad to hear you saw some. I was out for over 3 hours here-one minute it was foggy and the next it was clear. Lot of nice meteors
  3. Geminid #meteorwatch last night. Decent rates, spectacular in spurts. Variable fog, impending work compromised data. Full rpt much later.
  4. Saw 6 Geminids in 25 minutes ~ 7:30pm local time. Most near magnitude 0 and pure white. Will bundle up and head out ~9:00pm--radiant higher
  5. Sky clearing here in Chiloquin, OR. Hope it holds through midnight for some good Geminid #meteorwatch. Going out now to try to catch a few
  6. Geminids really coming down here. Couple of inches per hour. Oh, that's snow. Forecast better tomorrow; that's not saying much #Meteorwatch

  10. http://www.imo.net has raw Leonid data. Data thin from Asia so far, but indicates an outburst was visible from there as predicted.
  11. My Leonid meteor report from Oregon: 36 Leonids and 28 other meteors in 2+ hrs Tue morn. Just OK #s. 1 awesome fireball.
  12. Will set alarm hoping for some Leonid meteors tonight. May (or may not) get a break in the clouds here.
  13. Observed Orionid meteors during a clear spell Thursday morning. Rates were pretty normal but nice: 70 total meteors (44 Orionids) in 1.67hr.
  14. Back from a 4-day weekend on the Oregon Coast, full of fun and fungi and just plain getting away from people and work...
  15. In from attempting to observe the LCROSS impact on the Moon. Unfortunately, I didn't see any sign of a plume in 10" Dob at 330x and 165x.
