  1. @mmaunder had a firework launch tube fall over facing back down the dock towards the watching crowd. Hilarity/danger ensued.
  2. @sunilnagaraj that's just page loads, so it's kinda a BS stat for us. For every classic page view, people change the "view" 5-10 times.
  3. Any Washington peeps have Methow Valley recommendations? I'm going to http://www.rollinghuts.com/ tomorrow for my 7th wedding anniversary.
  4. @sawickipedia And it can be REALLY satisfying! I've had a blast doing tiling/finish carpentry on my fixer.
  5. @sawickipedia Oh. <grin> FWIW, I'm not smart on publisher stuff. Does CPM ever refer to $-per-thousand PAGE views (vs. ad views)?
  6. Great article: We need to reconsider working with our hands (I've been thinking this a lot during my home remodel) http://bit.ly/2ZYS7K
  7. @npost Good question. I should get some weather/geo data and correlate it with aggregate RescueTime data.
  8. @sawickipedia too bad Sawickipedia doesn't understand that I only had 140 characters and was quoting the freakin' article I linked to. :-)
  9. Related: glad we're not in free/ad-supported space. Just 2.5 BILLION page views per month for $1m in revenue. http://bit.ly/bT6BM (eek!)
  10. Hey, RescueTime had a million page views last month (a record!). Not bad for an ajax-heavy SaaS offering!
  11. RT @robby1066 http://bit.ly/1abN6d This makes my day. The angry-gorlla breakdown at the end makes my day the most. (Haha)
  12. Outstanding article on retention: http://is.gd/1jrlz - 90% retention is *3X* better than 80% retention after 12 months.
  13. I wonder if there is a correlation between political leanings and how outraged you are if software isn't free (@aronchick).
  14. @Andre_Kibbe Take heart! I LOVED tags (hell, I helped implement 'em in RescueTime) & I've really enjoyed the change (on our dev server)
  15. @pjdavis Yes-- RescueTime just upgraded itself. Do you think that's okay for small/bugfixy releases?
  16. @MarinaMartin Tried Freedom? Shuts off the web for n hours (reboot resets it!). Baby/bathwater problem, but it makes turn-off "expensive".
  17. Has anyone used LeechBlock, Freedom (Mac) or any other voluntary site blocker/limiter? What do you think of them?
  18. @sawickipedia I love the model, too. But... 4 different fees (3 to teacher, 1 to student) for one transaction? Sounds like my cell bill.
  19. @zzelinski <insert linux crack here>
  20. @dacort What OS/Browser? They are just GIF files. Does it happen on all browsers? Can you see: http://is.gd/1imKM
