  1. @alan_mather Current estimate is 90% of UK searches done via Google, and circa 4% via Bing, looks suspiciously like a monopoly to me...
  2. Reading the CBI's Shape of Business http://bit.ly/75w1jf + Richard Lambert's press release http://bit.ly/8I0xHs what impact on B'ham and WM?
  3. RT @a_josey: PR Newswire: The Open Group celebrates the 40th anniversary of the UNIX(R) system http://bit.ly/7qNHXV
  4. @samj Good luck with that - you were one of the most rational and capable voices I came across in the cloud community so all the best.
  5. @OllyAitch Same reply as to @cferroni Chrome OS is a lightweight OS with the browser providing most of the functionality. So OS and browser.
  6. @cferroni Very indistinct. Chrome OS is a lightweight OS (the browser providing all major functionality) and Android is a feature rich OS.
  7. Google say "Android and Chrome will likely converge over time" http://bit.ly/6wbQ0h how is that different to MS "bundling" Windows with IE?
  8. V. Lolz. RT @NemoKrad: @wayne_horkan Stop lighting them....
  9. @SuperRainmakers Or not - onto my next appointment.
  10. @samj Things are good, hope all OK with you. Still see you post on the Cloud lists, bored by the petty infighting and self promotion myself.
  11. @raimesh Hi Rob, cheers. It was wonderful to be chosen to represent the members. Just juggling the setting up a company stuff.
  12. @MartijnLinssen Hi Martjin, I'm just learning more the issues of copper theft across the UK. Appears organised as well as opportunism.
  13. What joy. Not. First Reading train I went to get on was cancelled, and the next one just caught fire.
  14. @psychotimmy Hiya Tim, saw the quote on the Reg., couldn't agree more. It should be getting better not worse. Hope your having fun. Wayne.
  15. Of course, it could be rogue electricians with a lot of wiring to do. Again.
  16. Unless it's purely vandalism, the recession, coupled with the price of copper, must make the electrical cabling attractive to thieves.
  17. Turns out todays train will be facing further delays as some 'wag' has stolen two miles of electrical cabling.
  18. Up and at 'em. Back off to Canary Wharf.
  19. Off to Canary Wharf this morning
  20. Just blogged "John Zachman, father of Enterprise Architecture, to present at the next BCS EA SG event - Tues. 6th Oct." http://bit.ly/151VUT
