  1. @hartsock Grails needs CI that prevents Grails stable releases that break known plugins - at least until discussed with plugin owner/users.
  2. @hartsock FWIW I used to make some good money writing and selling Delphi/C++Builder components. Became hell on earth over time.
  3. @hartsock Tnx. The issue for me is less one of the plight of plugin devs directly, more the knock on effect on #Grails adoption over time.
  4. @goeh That's a start yes. By default there is none. L2 caching is obtuse and not very helpful for many apps IMO. Blog post soon
  5. @RobertFischer Thanks, thought you might appreciate it :) I missed out "whining freetards demand new features for no money"
  6. @pixelcult Yahoo weather widget says snow for Tues here (Stroud)
  7. New blog post: "Do we need a commercial market for Grails plugins?" http://bit.ly/6DcrX6
  8. Viewing plugins by tag on grails.org seems impossible / broken.
  9. Here's the thing. I can't get criteria caching to work. cacheable(true) is called. Queries cached? Never. Classes cache enabled & finders OK
  10. @rfletcherEW Yeah, I have that set. Call me old fashioned, I like feel of buckling aluminium as I try to force the pad through the casing
  11. #apple #macbookpro #fail Seems like I'm not the only one w/ physical click on trackpad starting to fail ~50% of time. @graemerocher also
  12. @tomaslin My purely personal viewpoint - MUCH NICER HAT TOMAS!
  13. On the train slaying bugs listening to Dillinger Escape Plan. Seriously you must listen to all of "Ire Works" a few times to grok the genius
  14. #ggx oh btw @graemerocher did not mention that there are SHARED constraints not just default ones in Grails 1.2 http://bit.ly/80736u
  15. Thanks to Mike Hugo who created the excellent looking http://whenworksforyou.com/ with grails AND the greenmail mock mail plugin.
  16. Amen finally got app func tests working. 1) turn off accept header content negotiation. BAD. 2) use greenmail plugin to mock mail FTW! #ggx
  17. I have to say @venkat_s talk was my favourite of #ggx for every possible reason. Sorry I didn't come and say hello Venkat!
  18. Ooh does #groovy have a: time { someExpensiveTask() } method to output start/end/duration? That would rock for quick testing. post- #ggx
  19. @gabe97330 OK thanks for the JIRA, but easy to workaround using id= on the button tag :)
  20. @wmacgyver Yes, was great to meet you Mac!
