  1. @divinacucina Starbucks? I thought we were talking coffee? In SF, ex-barista told me they use Folgers when they run out. Nobody notices.
  2. @divinacucina Don't worry, my coffee harangue is over. All the driving made me a little giddy. Plus, a fly just died in my wine glass.
  3. @divinacucina so what kinda coffee do you use in the MOKA? I mean, to me, it's just bad espresso. Although when my neighor makes it it's ok.
  4. @italylogue Oh YEAH? My CLAN?!! Well, Buffy, my hot rubber spatula, is gonna hunt you down and flip you like a pancake. Or something.
  5. @divinacucina Why not? It's low in caffine. I stop after lunch. (Well, I can stop any time, you understand...)
  6. @italylogue certainly not mine.
  7. @divinacucina Why do women love inanimate objects so? I just want the best coffee.
  8. @italylogue You can love your 1933 low tech corroded aluminum can, but relatively high pressure is the way to get the best espresso ;-)
  9. Gotta work better than a moka pot, no? RT: @TheTasteofitaly: aaaaarghh! pls tell me this is a joke! http://bit.ly/4CmDpF
  10. Time to ski in the Lunigiana. Home from Provence to witness snow on all the peaks around here.
  11. Sunny morn in the Luberon. Getting ready for the drive back to Tuscany. Not looking forward to the rain.
  12. How do you define Incompetence? Well, I know some people who seem to make a living at it: Aix and Incompetent Waiters http://bit.ly/1rB36x
  13. @bellocioccolato The moment we sat down the waiter brought the guy next to us a duck leg, to which the customer replied, "THIS is a FISH?"
  14. @casinadirosa They're right about the Aix market. Beats Italian ones hands down. But rating places is lame. I'm sick of "best" articles.
  15. Waiters'. Took about 79 clicks with stylus for him to enter my .25 liter carafe of white plonk. Then charged me for Cablis at 3x price.
  16. @MissDreg nor a totally incompetent trio of them. I'm convinced that touch screen devices and too many waiters spoil more than the soup.
  17. Here's a first attempt at answering those awful "what's better, Provence or Tuscany?" questions travel writers get--> http://bit.ly/X4b0L
  18. I have had nightmare experiences with waiters twice in my life, both in France. Today in Aix.
  19. @kylephillips Best from Provence. Get well soon.
  20. Great. Just got word we've had a small earthquake in the Lunigiana while I'm in Provence. Plus wolves have been munching on Zeri lambs.
