  1. Parents . . . help your children develop self-esteem by encouraging them to try new things. Confidence is develped by doing, not talking.

  3. Perfectionists can become discouraged when they feel they aren't doing things well. Realistic expectations lead to greater satisfaction!
  4. It's an excellent time to start eating right with produce coming into season. Try a veggie you're not sure about - you might like it!
  5. When the weekend arrives, leave work at work - there will always be something in your in-box. Spend a few days reenergizing and having fun.
  6. Sources of stress: Family responsibilities, financial or employment concerns, children's behavior, traffic, spouses stress or health issues.
  7. Exercise: Doesn't mean running a marathon for most of us. Walking, gardening, sight seeing playing with your pets or washing the car count!
  8. Stress: Our bodies reaction to events that overwhelm your normal capacity to cope. Includes: worry, anxiety, tension, fatigue, irritation.
  9. Mindfulness: Staying in the present moment - not worrying about the past or the future. Spend 5 minutes noticing the details of an object!
  10. Deep Breathing: take slow deep breaths focusing on breathing in through your nose and out through your mouth. Close your eyes and practice!
  11. Stress can reek emotional and physical havic in our lives. Reduce the effects of stress by exercising, deep breathing and staying present.
  12. Plan a morning routine. Include self-care, nutrients and 1 task you can complete before leaving for the day. Expect to have a great day!!
  13. Parents: Set specific expectations for your children and then follow through with rewards or consequences. I bet your employer does this!
  14. Do something for yourself . . . take a long walk and notice all that is blooming . . . focus on the colors, the smells, the sounds . . enjoy
