  1. @epistephiliac I haven't been on this Twitter acct. for a day or two -- what did you buy? Is it candy? ;)
  2. @katrinagulliver And, OMG, bread & butter pudding = amazing-sounding.
  3. @katrinagulliver It seems not to have gotten much traction...
  4. @chronicle Not in the market for a teaching gig, but Twitter has gotten me some good interest in my book & I've made some good connections.
  5. @katrinagulliver What is butter pudding? I like butter, & I like pudding (which really just means "dessert," right?). Surely I'd like this!!
  6. @flutacious Totally overwhelmed by end-of-semester stuff, but otherwise OK. But really swamped!
  7. @katrinagulliver Is this job stuff? You have all my sympathy; that part stinks. Twitter=excellent distraction machine.
  8. @flutacious So glad that worked out -- sorry I wasn't around on Twitter yesterday! Is everything OK?
  9. @big_valley I love these snapshots from your part of the world!
  10. @epistephiliac I hope you glared imperiously at her. And whacked her over the head with your book.
  11. @flutacious Chime on all of those things!
  12. @big_valley P.S. -- I would have loved to see the kite fighting! But I agree that it is really sad for the kid who loses.
  13. @big_valley No, & that's what makes it particularly strange. Maybe she just wanted the big-school experience? (I'm at a SLAC.)
  14. Lost a really good prospective student today to a random state school (not even her state). Sigh.
  15. @superplin Oh, sorry, I meant the ones from Italy inquiring after your health!
  16. @superplin How have you responded to these emails?
  17. @flutacious Re: feet -- Well, that would be telling. As for your white wine, someone clearly broke in & stole it. Only explanation possible.
  18. @katrinagulliver re: world leaders on FB -- Heh heh heh. I love these.
  19. @flutacious It was Alice White (I'm on an alcohol budget these days). And I misspoke--it's a shiraz, not a merlot. Still, tastes like feet.
  20. @big_valley "Need to drop out of grad school and play more hockey"--now there's a plan I haven't heard before! Bad for the teeth, though.
