  1. Recent dinner: fried catfish, topped with indigo frisée in vinaigrette, finished with fried breaded goat cheese and green garlic disk. Yum!
  2. Looking forward to the 2005 Domaine de la Poulette Cote de Nuits-Villages.
  3. And, washed down with Francois Chidaine's Touraine sauvignon blanc--absolutely fresh, clean, and zesty!
  4. Tomato basil sauce with garlic, squid, and shrimp; roasted asparagus; toasted ciabatta with chevre, cherry peppers, and basalmic onions!
  5. Just put into the fridge a bottle of the 2008 Le Bastide Blanche Bandol rosé--can't wait to have some tonight while working from home!

  7. Finished the 2005 Clearwater Creek Alexander Valley Meritage (North Berkeley Imports). Fantastic--notes of light red fruits, smooth tannins.
  8. The Chateau Mas Neuf "Tradition" rosé is absolutely delicious and absolutely refreshing.
  9. After bottles and bottles of wine I am all wined out--need a day or two to detox!

  13. Short visit to Mission Wines: some of Craftsman's Belgian White, bought 2 bottles of wine. It's great to be home--oh, and I updated my blog.
  14. Had a bottle of N.V. Drappier Brut "Carte d'Or" champagne with the fam for Mother's Day--delicious, full, with a huge mouthful of bubbles!
  15. Cut my finger a bit yesterday with my foil cutter. Rookie move.
  16. Chelsea Wine Vault has a bottle of Penfolds Grange Hermitage when it was still called Grange Hermitage. Nice.
  17. Been touring some different wine shops in Williamsburg and Manhattan--so far, Chelsea Wine Vault is by far the best!
  18. @stephwei Yeah, definitely feels like a Tuesday.
  19. Any good celebratory red wines between $30-$50 you would recommend?
