  1. @paperspaints actually am having a go at dual language Italian stories. Can't actually read Italian...yet. Shows I have time on hands.
  2. @paperspaints yes everyone has been looking after me splendidly..
  3. "(Conjuring) is not magic, it is merely a rearrangement of the alphabet..." Am so enjoying Cranford.
  4. Sprained back not slipped disc... A merry Christmas indeed.
  5. @susieweldon has just come for coffee. When did I last have a friend to coffee on a weekday? Bliss. She is now my drug pusher. Nurofen max.
  6. In bed with sore back looking out at the snow. It might be rather nice once the painkillers set in: I've chosen a day with promising radio.
  7. Just looked at Obama's Merry Christmas video. Nice little technical trick where he writes you a personalised card http://tinyurl.com/yk6c263
  8. @everhartmuseum I wrote a book with my husband for the World Bank - different subject... Next year's my writing year inshallah.
  9. I always wondered about the Dragon's Blood Tree... and here are some great photos http://thewrendesign.com/
  10. Icy in Bath right now... Makes Christmas shopping feel more authentic somehow when you can't feel your hands.
  11. @everhartmuseum that's wonderful news! Cochineal was the first journey so it's a bit of a favourite of mine too...
  12. @indiaknight I usually disconnect and/or wiggle the iPhone around a bit. That's probably not the level of assistance you needed...
  13. Reading the Guardian to be published on Twitter article, 9 months after everyone else http://tinyurl.com/cv6z7k
  14. Writing up a really good interview I had on Friday with @jaselai - first interview I've done with someone who twitters. Intriguing.
  15. RT @robsad79: Happy Birthday to my all time favorite author Jane Austen. Let's see she would now be 234 years old... :)
  16. @PatrickBaty it does however reveal that I am one of the ten people not watching x factor ...
  17. I've just made falafel soup: all the ingredients in real falafels but with more stock (lots more stock) and served with yoghurt. It worked.
  18. @caroleagent I wonder if it was something in the organic grain
  19. This is the first time I've ever twittered about breakfast ... But I've just got a double yolk in the free range egg I'm frying. Beautiful.
  20. I know it's nice to give an encouraging school report for "at least trying" but does one deserve a Nobel prize?
