  1. @5LiveF1 Ted forgot Gianni Morbidelli at Adelaide in 1991, after Prost was sacked. Scored half a point, too. Paul, Norwich.
  2. Bought another seven research books yesterday. Over a hundred quid's worth. Should be useful, but temptation is to include everything.
  3. Finished another research book. Lots of interesting and useful stuff. Hope to start work on the second draft this coming week.
  4. Or maybe I will. Not sure. Redrafting of the novel is going okay. Hope to have a second draft ready in four or five weeks' time.
  5. I don't think I shall be using this any more.
  6. Haven't managed to finish the proofing, though, which is a shame as I was keen to compare my notes with hers.
  7. Feeling much better today, thank goodness. Off to see S this afternoon!
  8. I feel bloody awful. I need to moan at someone, so I am moaning here. I cannot believe this timing. I'm off to London tomorrow but feel crap
  9. Also had a strange dream that Michael Andretti came back to F1 to drive for Ferrari, but was killed in a crash at a US Grand Prix at Indy.
  10. Woke with the start of a cold this morning. Bollocks. I'm off to visit S on Thursday, don't want to be all bunged up and horrible.
  11. The further I get through proofing this book, the less I can believe I let T and S read it in that condition! I won't do that again!
  12. The diffuser three are legal! Yes!
  13. Still proofing. Think I have spotted where I can add some of the extra background for Amanda that S was keen on.
  14. Headline of the year so far on Radio 2 just then: "Scientists in America say they want to grow vegetables on the moon." Superb.
  15. More proofing today. A hideous number of mistakes to be corrected, but at least one chapter I am quite happy with, which was a surprise.
  16. Have started the slow and painful proof-reading process. Many minor corrections so far. T has said where she thinks it needs more Deacon.
  17. S told me yesterday that she has finished reading the book. She kept that quiet! She's refusing to discuss it until we meet up, though.
  18. I can't believe more of a fuss hasn't been made about it. If I had the talent and imagination, I'd work a dystopian novel out of it.
  19. Like many people, I am deeply wary of the new e-mail information-storing laws for IPSs that came into effect yesterday. Nasty stuff.
  20. In other news, S doesn't seem to dislike the book as much as I had feared she would do.
