  1. The magical point at which I know to take 4yo to hospital is when she no longer has energy to argue w/ me. Not even close yet.
  2. @MaryLUE @redclaydiaries Dunno. The wait at the ER in winter is usually 4 hrs, so won't be taking her unless it gets extreme.
  3. @Selkie1970 We are not at the ginger ale and cracker stage yet. Just tiny sips of water.
  4. @beckfromfrogandtoad Me too. She is being so brave and grown up. And she vomits with a primal howl. Never seen so much fire from her.
  5. @beckfromfrogandtoad 6yo's vomiting lasted 18 hrs. If 4yo's only lasts that long, I can get her through.
  6. @beckfromfrogandtoad insert unnecessary IVs that they won't do any more than I am doing at home unless it gets really bad.
  7. @beckfromfrogandtoad We've been through this before with her, including dehydration. The Children's hospital ER is so reluctant to
  8. You know you have that one child you worry most about? Mine has been throwing up for four hours.
  9. 6yo has been over flu for a day. Now 4yo has it. AND 1yo started trying to climb steps today. And our only bathroom is upstairs. Disaster.
  10. @Selkie1970 Excellent choice. I also loved Lancelot.
  11. @Selkie1970 Yes. Saw the Guardian's list and liked the ambition of it, tho not their choices. 1000 would require a group effort.
  12. @MaryLUE The obligations never end, do they? Still, I expect you have valuable insight.
  13. @pledman Sure. Need invite. And the choices off top of my head include Raymond Chandler and CP Snow, so, yeah. Not a Zondervan list.
  14. @MaryLUE But just think how much time you'll have for reading now that the degree is done. Heh.
  15. @pledman Not very. Maybe a paragraph on why the book is significant to Christian readers, or what we can learn from it.
  16. @pledman @skedman @MaryLUE @selkie1970 What would y'all think of writing a list together of 1000 novels to shape a Christian mind?
  17. @suefisher Ooh! Good thought.
  18. Hmm. I need to spend 3 more $ on Amazon to get free shipping. Any suggestions?
  19. 6yo woke from creepy coma-like nap and is now jumping around on the furniture. Kindergartener Redivivus.
  20. Toy Story 2 has an uncomfortably pertinent moral message for moms worried about aging. Stepping on my toes.
