  1. Love this. http://on.ted.com/93K
  2. Durga is watching Little Mermaid for the first time. Baird starts fencing today. And I just wish coffee could go on and on and on.
  3. Church was good. Feeling a bit humbled lately. Be careful when praying for clarity, because opportunities for decision-making come flooding.
  4. But wait, there's more...
  5. Let downs can make little things seem too hard. All is well, and then... Today is teaching art and Latin at co-op. That will be good.
  6. Marinating flank steak, spritzing orchids, massaging Gertrude's crop (poor thing), teaching art, training a DM, thinking yoga thoughts.
  7. Wicked pollen of doom and eyeball irritation. A long growing season so always something blooming. But not always so pernicious. Wow.
  8. Still allergies, did kenpo. Still animals to clean, still business stuff, but NOT Tuesday errands. Planting Gerber daisies instead.
  9. Allergies. Cookies. Business brainstorm and tasks. Clean bunnies and birds. Fencing. Pick up organics from co-op. Yoga would be nice.
  10. Collier County did well. I'm so proud of all the kids. Una's team took first in state and won a small scholarship, Baird's took third. Yaaa!
  11. 4H Marine Ecology Event tomorrow. Kids identify marine and coastal flora and fauna. 100+. It's intense. http://ping.fm/vvWzf
  12. The sweetness of today with kids and friends was so lovely.
  13. Amazing mock marine ecology event at V's today. An escaped crab, and good experience for the kids. Cha is totally fine, btw! Yay, bird!
  14. Cha Cha made it through the night. Looks pretty fine, actually. Worried about internal bleeding, but there he is, preening. On to coffee.
  15. "shut up, get a glass. it's your birthday, dammit." and tomorrow is a holiday. with friends like these...
  16. Different hawk. 18 y.o. cockatiel. Cha Cha lives, but injured. Changed the tone of the day. Birthday still all kinds of happy. Much love.
  17. Turns out the hawk ripped a wing off one of the quails. He was the favorite boy. A shame. We buried him under coconut palms. RIP, Storm.
  18. Harvest today: five pomelos, one young luffa for cooking, six yard long beans, one egg, various herbs. I need to plant the other seeds!
  19. Slowly, slowly on the mend. Finally taking care of myself. Funny how well that works...
  20. A huge red hawk perched on the quail run this morning. Just sat there. It flew right at us when it left empty taloned. Wow.
