  1. Wondering if microblogging is really the right thing for someone as verbose and long-winded as myself. Hey, that all fits in rather well.
  2. Back from the Olive Festival....a weekend of mayhem and outrageous behaviour. Such fun.

  6. Planning for the Cedarberg....37 degrees on Thursday, 39 on Sunday....cooking.
  7. Hoping the fire won't spring up again tonight..would prefer to sleep than cruise Long Street again. I must be getting old.
  8. To Deadbeat Ranch this afternoon. Then astronomical observations tomorrow night and up Kasteelpoort on Sunday.
  9. To Langebaan today...a couple of days of kayaking, windsurfing and catching up with friends. Naas.
  10. Lunch with Greer at Beula's in the Old City Hall Courtyard. Best rare roast beef sandwich ever. Yum.
  11. To Hell's Gates in Orange Kloof yesterday. Quite possibly the most beautiful spot in the peninsula, and until now I never knew it existed.
  12. contemplating 'as you like it' at maynardville tonight...picnic, wine and show on a windless summer night. bloody marvellous.
  13. off up the mountain to burn off the weekend excess....groan
  14. those Blomeruses are perhaps the finest Sunday hosts I know. Truly spectacular
